Although the economic impact was not large enough for the socialist to again control the US economic supply chain, it did show them how easy it was to manipulate the media and political system. Thus global warming was born to go after and control the most important supply chain in the US economy- carbon based energy.

So we have oil, a commodity full on potential energy and the most abundant natural resource on the planet at $116 per barrel.
