In the 1960s, the Democrats pursued both common sense civil rights reforms the country needed badly and fought Communism in Vietnam. Today, the Democrats divide the country by race and it opposes fighting Islamofascism in Iraq. In a generation we have seen the Democrats travel from defending the country’s highest interests to promoting their own partisan concerns.
