That is the current rate of growth in the economy as measured by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. That is the growth for the third quarter 2007. That is the highest rate of growth recorded in four years. The 4.9 percent annualized growth in that quarter followed the previous quarter in which the economy grew at an annualized rate of 3.8 percent.
